Ghosts of BarbertonA Story by Stephanie MA friend of mine gave me the idea for this story."So the concert is cancelled tonight. Is that why you guys are here?" Dana inquired. "Nah," Maria said, "We were on our way back from the kitchen store in Lodi, and we just kind of ended up here. Well, Maureen had to go to the bathroom, and I figured, we should stop here, and get a bite to eat." "Well, I was just trying to take shelter from the rain," Dana replied, "The buses don't run much around here anymore. My ESP is telling me that you are sisters, and you're from Akron." "How did you know that?" Maria clapped. "Actually, we are twin sisters, and we do everything together." "Here, join us," Maureen said, motioning toward the pile of food, "We've got quite a feast here." Dana grabbed a double cheeseburger, and a few chicken nuggets. They talked for several hours about cats, Amish people, porcelain pigs, and how confusing GPS systems can be. A few minutes later, Maria asked, "Would you like a ride home? I couldn't stand to see you get sick." As they approached her house, Dana decided that they should exchange phone numbers. "Sorry, no time," Maureen said, "We must be home by midnight!" Dana noticed the car disappear, as it pulled away from the curb. The two old ladies had actually been ghosts!
