Fields of Pain

Fields of Pain

A Poem by Stephanie M
"

This is a poem about anger, frustration, and loss.

"

Whoever said that time can

heal all wounds

must be demented and cruel

Not all memories can we hide

Sometimes their ugly heads can submerge

Through a nasty string of words

As I walk through these fields of pain

Where the tasteless plants grow

and the strange structures sway

I plan to leave; just not today

Anger, frustation and loss are an evil kind . We sit and feel those things when we want to move away from them .
"I plan to leave,just not today" .
This reminds me of a song which had these lyrics
"Wish that I could slow things down
I wanna let go
But theres comfort in the panic" .
