Zombies of Chernobyl, chapter two

Zombies of Chernobyl, chapter two

A Story by Stephanie M
"

This is a continuation of my Zombies of Chernobyl series.

"

As he emerged from the 150 X 300 square foot steel, and cement room, Francis was greeted by a horrid smell. It

smelled like a mixture of burnt flesh, and sulphur. He could barely see through the sulphur-like fog. He could feel

thick smoke fill up his lungs. He choked on the red dust that seemed to fill the sky, and surrounding waters. He shivered

as he felt his skin tingle. The atmosphere must be filled with electrical fields.

Francis became nervous as he noticed black stormclouds in the sky. He ducked back into the shelter, as he noticed

a sulphuric acid-like liquid rain from the sky. "This might be a bad idea," Francis thought to himself.

Francis was afraid to breathe in the toxic vapors. He held his breath when the wind picked up. He sniffed the air.

"I recognize that smell," he thought to himself, "The atmosphere is partly ether." He felt his clothes cling to him. as the

heat became oppressive. (The aftermath of the nuclear meltdown had considerably increased the temperature of the

once frozen city)
