Interesting Characters I've Created, part twoA Story by Stephanie MThis is part two of My Most Interesting Characters series. This is part two of my "Interesting Characters I've Created" series. Tisiphone is the avenger of murder. She sits by the entrance to hell, in a lime green deck chair, with a whip to punish criminals. She has snakes for hair, and wears a bloody robe. Those who dare to enter this realm for sport, can bypass her by, leaving an offering of orange spray paint. She plans on learning to foretell the future (to make her job easier) "Catfish" John is an old black river hobo, from Dimension Wazikawa. He is a former slave who was traded to freedom, for a chestnut mare. He is a good natured man, but tends to be sarcastic, and overly critical of others. "Catfish" is somewhat of a comedian, who is never seen without a derby hat. Few people know that he is an army veteran. He is friends with Mama Rose, (who I will mention later in this section), and Sister Mona. "Catfish" has a fear of houses, lives on Easy Cheese, and dreams of finding true love before he dies. Russell Lloyd is a 50 year old man with bi-polar disorder, who enlisted in World War 2. He was discharged two weeks later, after losing his leg. Russell suffers from social anxiety, and his hands tend to tremble. His long gray hair is often unkempt, and he frequently wears his goggles. He almost always smells like feces. Russell used to be a decent artist at one time. He lives in a bus shelter, and he is terrified of cats. Their shrill cries remind him of crying babies. He is friends with "Catfish" John, and Mam Rose. Florence, is the ghost of an old army nurse, who died of exhaustion, and dehydration, by walking herself to death. She appears as a scrawny, elderly black woman, who is always seen in a white night gown. She haunts the low income projects of Nashville, Tennessee. Mama Rose is an elderly black baglady. She is a terrible alcoholic, who carries everything she owns in a shopping cart. Mama has an unusual eye color, wears men's shoes, and talks to buildings. She is always cussing, especially when she sees an insect, because she has a phobia of them. She bathes in puddles, and lives under a bridge. Her best friend is a homeless schitzophrenic, named Mona. Crazy Jane was born in an asylum, during the middle ages. Her mother was deemed insane, because she had the ability to talk to gods, and see into other dimensions. Her father was a paranoid schitzophrenic. She ended up being raised by gypsies. At the age of 12, she escaped and met up with "Jack the Journeyman," a simple wanderer, who would later become known as "uniter of dimensions," after saving the cosmos from collapsing into itself. I got the idea for this character from the poetry of William Butler Yeats. John Grimm is a military fanatic, who has an arsenal of guns, knives, and swords. He worships Hitler, and he works as a street hustler. He has a sarcastic nature, and sometimes sets fire to buildings. © 2014 Stephanie M |
