Cast of Characters (My Most Interesting Characters) part one.

A Story by Stephanie M
"

This is a three part essay about some of the most interesting characters I've come up with through the years.

"

I have come up with some interesting characters through the years. I'd like to share some of the strangest.

Mr. Cheeronear, is a dog-faced man, with very long arms, and hands that trail on the ground. This cannibalistic

creature, is always accompanied by dogs. He was born in Poveglia in 777 B.C. Although some people think he is a

werewolf, he is actually a corpse- cleaner, because he is immune to disease. He disposes of plague victims. Although

this creature might look intimidating, he actually has very poor eye sight, and he is afraid of pointy objects.

Ms. Empusa is a female with one leg of brass, and the other of a donkey. She used to be an assassin, but now she

torments travelers on dark roads, to make them lose their way. She has been accused of grave-robbing, in the past.

Rumor is, that she's a voodoo priestess, and she has been known to dabble in the necromantic arts. She smell like

moldy oranges, and her old bones crackle like rusty weathervanes.

Mona, is known as the "Baglady Nun." She spends most of her time at an abandoned bar. She has a whole group of

followers, that can only be seen by her. She is a black woman in a nun's uniform, who carries a cart full of junk with

her, everywhere she goes. She is dirty, unkempt, deaf, epileptic, and has a fear of flowers. One of her followers is

"Fairy". ( a child with wings) Mona lives in a bus shelter, and likes to eat lipstick. Her best friend is Mama Rose (who I

will mention in the next section)

Gwyillion, is an old hag who wears ash colored clothes, and a cooking pot on her head. She jumps out at unwary

travelers, to lead them astray. She fears storms, and anything  made of iron, or steel. If you attempt to control her

with a knife, made out of either of these metals, you will have a wish granted. She is searching for a way to become

young again (She cannot wish herself young) She disguises herself with the cooking pot, to hide her hideousness.

Gwylillion is partially crippled, has chronic halitosis, and a fear of numbers.

Mrs. Bercht/Percht, is an old hag who lives in the mountians, who is interested in the needs of children. She

leaves gifts for them at Christmas. Legend says, the souls of miscarried, or unbaptized children, go to her. She brings

plagues onto those who are disorderly, or neglectful. Mrs. Bercht/Percht is also known as "Grandmother Spider." She

smells like my grandmother's laundry room. Although she is the town wise woman, she is constantly drunk, has bad

body odor, and a fear of stairs. She can shape-shift into a woman from the waist up, and a spider from the waist down. When she does this, she is incredibly beautiful. She has 17 cats living in her basement.

Mrs. Beverly Babouschka, is an old grandmother, who neglected hospitality to the Magi, on their way to

Bethlehem, because she was too busy with housework. Every Christmas Eve, she makes up for it by filling the shoes

of children with gifts. Although she is generous, she has no sense of humor. She smells like fresh mint, has a fear of

trees, and dreams of becoming rich.

Razzyln, is an apprentice mage, who is trying to work his way up in the mage's guild. He is currently working as

a janitor, for his uncle. He became proud when he created his first golem, but he soon discovered that he has little

magical talent. He compensates for this, by stealing a grimoire (book of magic) from the mage's guild. His parents

were killed of from parasites, and he only survived because he had a strong constitution. He is ashamed because,

he has sexual fantasies about men. Razzlyn has long brown hair, which he always wears in a pony tail, blue-green eyes, and bad teeth. He is tall, thin, and a little on the homily side. He is hyperactive, passive-aggressive, and

speaks in a low voice.
