Blame

Blame

A Poem by Stephanie M
"

This is a poem about loss.

"

If the moon was late to rise

I would take the blame

If the sun refused to shine

I would take the blame

If the flowers refused to grow

I would take the blame

If the birds refused to sing

I would take the blame

If winter refused to

change to spring

I would take the blame

It has been said often enough that we may change our world simply by changing how we feel about it. I was inspired to write this tiny gift poem for you to keep as your own:

Inner Flame

I won’t take the blame,
if the Sun goes lame
since I make this claim
as an inner flame
that does much the same,

but if I burn out,
life would turnabout;
there would be a drought,
no more dreams would sprout,
all would fall to doubt.
