Broken Trust

This is a poem about someone who betrayed my trust.

Not quite dead; nor alive

I'm in too much pain to die

I put my trust in you

and what do you do, but

exploit me, you queen of drama!

You twist my words until it hurts

A new problem every day

You try to take away

everything that matters

You dare pound at my door

and make a public display!

Now don't give me that look

cause the next time you cry wolf

no one will come to your aid

For my life I will reclaim!
