Shores of Death

This is a poem about loss.

Should I walk onto the shores

of death

or walk upon the sands of time

Was the life I lived really a dream

For what I know, for all I know

shall soon fade away...

For the sleeper awakens to find

that it had all been a nightmare

I liked how the poem was short but descriptive and full of meaning that went beyond the words. I think the best poems are ones that make you read in between the lines and think beyond the realm of the poem. Good write!
