Scarlet Roses, Here to Lie

Scarlet Roses, Here to Lie

A Poem by Steely
"

This is a poem I wrote about the trials of being a young teenager in a world so full of bullies and people who just want to use you. I hope you like it.

"

Scarlet roses, here to lie
Lost in my heart where they shall die
My mind is far astray
Unjustly thrown away
I have been used and I'm now broken
Suddenly awoken from cruel dreams
I'd cry tears to the roses red
But here I lie, sulking in bed
Born to fly, was I really?
Or am I just a fly in this forsaken world?
But I've learned to try, and now I'm done.
Scarlet roses, here to lie
Laid once again, this time not to die
