The Sudden Pain

this was a thought that came out of the blue

"No! How can you? You can't leave Morgan. Not after this." "Amber...it has to be done...it's safer."

"I'll shoot you. I will if you try to leave."
"Than do it." she looks at me with fear and conflict in her eyes
I go to turn and she yells. "You turn and I'll shoot!" she yells raising the pistol.

I push my glasses and slowly turn. A crack rings out as a silver bullet rips through my left shoulder blade, I slump to the side, straightening up I feel tears start to fall, I begin to walk forward and another shot meets my kidney.
   I fall to one knee, take a deep breath and then stand, using all the strength that is bleeding from my body and eyes. I taste a tear and it's not just salt....it also has a metallic taste....it's blood....blood..blood from a broken heart.
       I stand and walk forward, receiving another bullet to the small of my back. More red tears and blood fall. I feel her pain the, feel and hear the hysterics in her voice as she yells don't leave me with each shot
   I stand, walk another two step and the last bullet drives through my spine, sending numbness through me. I fall into the snow, tears of blood still failing. thump thump thum......

The gun is still clicking in my hands as i watch him fall....the one I love..the man I wanted more than ever..killed by me. I fall to my knees, I close my eyes and let out a choking cry as I drop the pistol. "Morgan...I'm sorry." I say almost inaudibly.
My tears melt the snow on and around the pistol, smoking rising from the barrel...I killed him....now what do I do...
