My Book of Truth

My Book of Truth

A Poem by Jennifer
"

Something I wrote in regards to lies I've told/written down.

"
Page after page of empty promises
The attempt is present but no heart to back it -
Who is this woman who writes lies tricking herself to believe them?
Sinking ships and cancer songs -
letters unstamped to loved ones.
Paper clips and asterisks -
lost in the swarm of scripted verses.
Where is my book of truth? One in which describes my sincere intent.
Unpopulated by false messages and diseased thoughts.
Where is my wise advocate?

Is it some kind of confession?
Your piece is thought provoking.

I really have no corrective comments, but I really love your usage of notebooks used and covered in verses. Keep up the marvelous work.
