Sunset Freedom

Sunset Freedom

A Poem by alwaysmovefast

I sat in the back behind the driver's seat while I listened to Jeff Buckley. I watched as she twirled her hair and ran her fingers through. I got this overwhelming feeling to just giggle and smile. It wasn't funny in anyway. I just thought of how innocent she was, how badly she wanted to break free; how free she felt driving to nowhere. I was so happy for her.
Because her freedom had come and her destination was before us.
The sun was calling for her and she was reaching by the pedal.
