A Poem by alwaysmovefast

Take me somewhere and tell me the great historical facts of our place. Make it a memory and a present for the present. We have found the very thinning of this silver lining. We'll drive down this dirt road and call it our own. They say adopt a life and make it your own.

I'm taking this in and making it my life. Here we are, underneath the cool shade of this maple tree. The city is far down by the horizon and we're in our wonderland. Let me find my Alice while you search for the cunning kitty. We're destiny because we've failed to see failure.

Dreaming drags us far because this is the end. This is the beginning.
We could go to Kentucky and meet the farm folks. They'd sing us songs on their beat up acoustics. Then drink beer til we're laughing and smiling, dancing on that bar. Because this was life. This was the fate that we called for. Show me introduction. Show me the ending.

I'll twirl my hair and chew my gum while you fix our car because its what you do. Show me the man that broke into my atmosphere.
You sang me songs that no one could ever hear but me. It was our lullaby while I drowned so far into those eyes. I couldn't speak but I told you every word I could find.
I'd leave it all behind to find a place worth knowing. Somewhere worth telling a story about because we belong here.

This is it.
This was everything.
This is the ending with the beginning of everything in between because we are alive and nothing can save us.
