Hello Brown Eyes

Hello Brown Eyes

A Poem by alwaysmovefast

Hello brown eyes.
I see you've committed a very serious crime.
We don't steal hearts around here.
See, you go behind bars for that kind of act.

Hello brown eyes.
Are you prepared to pay for my medical bills?
I've had to sit with an oxygen tank for about 100 something hours.
I guess that's what happens when your breath is consistently taken away.

Hello brown eyes.
Don't fix your messy curly black hair
& your crooked smile.
You never show those pearly whites;
so let's keep it that way.

Hello brown eyes.
You have a hard time speaking your heart.
Do you know what that means?
It happens when there's too much to say
True love makes the heart stutter.

Goodnight Mr. Brown Eyes,
I'm going to bed now
so that I can wake up
to the glistening spark
that shines so bright in you.
