Why Do We Waste The Time We Acquire

The signs are clear & you have made it apparent
Whatever you may call "us" has hit a dead end
Yet we refuse to admit that we cannot drive any further.
We are in our own little world where we believe 
that no matter what, we have to stay together
However, we both know the truth to that statement:
Nothing is always forever.

So lets stop all the bullshit & admit it
Together we are broken
but apart we are whole.
What you used to feel for me has long gone
yet its seems to be a hard task for you to say so.

I won't stick around for so long
Before you know it, I'll wave my white flag in the air
Then maybe we could stop holding our breath
& breathe.
