It's As If I've Never Knew Your Name

How could i look in your eyes & see the person that was there for me
i feel a heart breaking within me that has no meaning
when you walked away, i followed you but then to soon find out, i lost you.
my friendship with you meant something more than anything else could
but you left without neither a goodbye nor a see you later
however, you came back as someone i couldn't recognize.
i stretched my neck looking for you, calling out your name
yet you answered to it.
i must have gotten the wrong person with the same name
you couldn't possibly be the person i knew when my life changed
or the person that was there for me when my life started falling apart.
what happened to the moments where you never denied our bond
when did i ever get replace?

was i alive at these times? 
because i don't seem to remember when these transitions took place
i miss everything we ever had; you had been everything to me no one else could be
now when i need you the most; you walk away with a smirk on your face
proud with yourself of the evil accomplishments you've reached.

you used to call us best friends
whatever happened to that? i thought i meant something
but then the party life struck you & i've become nothing more than a waste of time
i apologize for whatever i had done that made you change your personal views on me

i hope that when our lives truly do start, you'll be there for me
cause i know that i will for you.
