I Could Wait Forever

I Could Wait Forever

A Poem by alwaysmovefast

There was a person who once said

if loving you is wrong, I never want the chance to be right”

that is a moment when I never want to feel the joy of being correct

I could live this life never knowing if a fortune will reach my hand

or I may die in this world with a person loving my soul;

the wishes I have are something I cannot understand

in the eyes of the onlookers, I live in a life of obscurity

but pay close attention; you will comprehend how I think

in a few short words, I am the epitome of a longing heart;

I allow my search for the uplifting feeling of euphoria,

the type of happiness found in the arms of a protector

a lover, a heart as sensitive yet solid as mine.

Although I have yet to see the eyes of the beholder

of such a complete being; I wait patiently for the day

my hand is held in such a gesture that my heart forgets the meaning of calm
