Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by Lewis Tedesco
"

Type of Haiku-Let me know what you think, I know that is not the traditional Haiku.

"

I am now led to believe

That God has no love

I am who he has made me

The wave has come in again

With it comes your face

I wish it would take me now

I have loved and lost since you

But I will not lose

The feel of your warm embrace

People say that we were wrong

And turn their nose up

But we had the greater love

I sometimes think I see you

When the sun rises

I smell you when the wind blows

I have loved and lost since you

But I have not lost

Anything as great as you

Letting go is a hard thing

Oh how I have tried

But the waves keep coming in

Oh, how I look at the moon

And remember you

I see your face in the sky

Like a bright constellation

I look for guidance

To help me find my way home

These waves have come in again

And now flood my mind

Letting go is a hard thing
