All I've Endured

All I've Endured

A Poem by Rose
"

trouble with coping

"
I feel like i'm always preparing myself for the worst
Fight or flight
How could I choose between the two?
How dare I stare at a wall?
I might even talk to it
Let me take a minute or so
to gloat about the coat i've worn
to protect me from the rain all these years
I'll take some time to reflect on all the wine
And all the people I refused to call

When it comes down to it, would you like to sit
and listen to all i've endured
That's what my therapist is for
I hate to dismiss what you've been dealing with
All I can see is what is mine
It's selfish, I admit that I let you sit
and listen to all i've endured

Yours are honest words, you know yourself and are true to you own goodness. It's those who won't or can't admit to problems who make them worse. You, Rose, know you need a touch of inspiration from a person -a qualified therapist and God willing, a humane human being, who cn help find your YOU. The YOU. a unique young woman with a great nd happy life ahead. Love yourself humbly but be just a hint selfish once in a while!
