Past my eyes

Past my eyes

A Poem by landofthedead

Past the door,
Past my eyes
the screams are echoing
from wall to wall.
Past the door,
past my eyes,
The floor is coverd
in dirty lies.
On the ceiling,
hangs bright clouds,
plastic and fake.
And in the corner
the glass sun slowly falls.
Shattering into a million pieces,
of red glass.
And past the door,
And past my eyes,
I finally break.
I finally smash.
The smile was broken.
The laugh was dead.
The happieness left.
So finally, I scream and yell
words that bounce in my mind.
So finally, I cry tears,
That dry too fast.
And I let out anger
That you said wouldnt last.
Then once again
I pick up the mask
And paint on the smile
Just to please you for a little while.
But no matter what
Past the door,
Past my eyes,
I'll be crying on the other side.

I wrote this a long time ago. I don't remember what influenced me to write this, but I found it in my stack of poems in my room. Hope you enjoy!
