The Moon and the Rain

This is goodbye, said the sky,

as it wept in silence.

Fat droplets slid down the cheeks of a 

mournful summer night

as dawn pressed a palm to it’s skin

and the moon slipped away...

Brilliant; short and simple yet deep and passionate. I found this piece to be bittersweet. It made me mourn with the night yet also made me look at dawn and be hopeful for tomorrow.
