Dancing

Dancing

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard

Dancing, I was dancing

Beneath the milk-white stars

Scattered across the Georgia sky

Dancing for thanks

Dancing for blissful joy

Dancing for starting anew

Yes, I was dancing

Naked in soul and body

Singing to She who turns the wheel

And the midnight moon

A pale sliver in the inky expanse

Looked down on me

Oh, I was dancing

Dancing for this love

So shattered at my feet

Broken and twisted as trees

Hurricane tossed

How I thanked Her for you

By dancing

Releasing my spirit to join

Her stars, my stars

Silvery minnows trying to find

Shelter from the coming storm

I danced for you, though you never knew

I was dancing in gratitude and lust

Dancing for my freedom

And now, I dance no more

Though still the silver wheel spins

And I still ache to join her dancing

And bless and curse my Lady

For sending you to me, for dancing

Oh, yes, I was dancing

Once

Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
