Ordinary Life

Ordinary Life

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard

One day I’ll live beyond living

An ordinary life

Of rising and falling

Like predictable ocean tides

I’ll open my eyes to the sun

See her shining down

On cotton ball fairies piled in snow

I’ll raise my arms to the wind

And dance the secret dance

Of silent oaks with secrets to tell

When no one is listening

I’ll bow my head and pray

To daffodils upon a hill

Give homage to the scent of lilacs

And the feel of a wooly-bear on my finger.

I’ll open my soul to the sound

Of singing crows and butterfly wings

Whispering to new green leaves

Emerging like silken spiders webs

One day I’ll live beyond

This ordinary life

About
Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
