Surprising

Surprising

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard

Surprising is what you are
A sweet summer breeze
Picking up a displaced star
Laying it at gentle ease
Softly holding a hand
In the velvety warm steel
Of friendship unplanned
Is it a dream or is it real

It’s the little things you say
In that we’re in accord
One teeny tiny step each day
Companionship is the chord
Sung sweetly now between
These injured hearts healing
All too careful to not careen
From the precipice reeling

Seeking now what we once lost
Searching for the truth somehow
Each of us knowing of the cost
Of giving all and making a vow
Then having it taken far away
Stolen in glaring bright light
Without a moment to have a say
For what happened in the night

About
Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
