Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard
"

An exercise in writing a sonnet

"

Farewell, my perilous dream
You deceive to sanctify nothing
Listen to the drunkard sing
Torturous song upon a theme
By words of poison, comes now death
Almost a lover, nearly a friend
In discontent, comes the end
With envy whispered on your breath
Die quickly now, is what I pray
My heart can take no more
Leave me now, I implore
That I may begin a new day
Bathed in life and love and light
Singing now a song brand new
Peace is all I wish for you
And for me, I wish clear sight.

About
Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
