Contradictions

Contradictions

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard

Contradictions ‘round and ‘round

You say up and then say down

Tell me not to flirt and tease

Then want to act just as you please

Jealousy reared an ugly head

Within the words that you said

You claimed to know yourself of course

But you never looked to the source

Dirty secrets you want to hide

But of mine you can’t abide

Little lies and half-told truth

Are just a symptom of your youth

Maybe one day up you’ll grow

And if you do then you’ll know

That contradictions are part of life

And maybe even sheath the knife

With which you stab in randomness

At anyone you can’t possess

About
Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
