The Perfect Escape

The Perfect Escape

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard

The real world
Isn't all that great
I prefer my dreams
The perfect escape.
I can picture the world
And fill it with love
Or fly a kite
And soar high above
The pain that lies
In the earth below
Masked by the beauty
Of the sun's pure glow
I can see a boy and girl
Filled with romance
Falling in love
In a mystical dance
Or children at play
Singing a song
Carousing and romping
All the day long
There is hope beyond hope
And love without hate
And I prefer my dreams
The perfect escape.

About
Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
