Carousel Waltz

Carousel Waltz

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard
"

More visions from carnival days

"

The hues of a rainbow illusion
Twinkle past the awestruck eyes
Of children giggling in delight
As the carousel roars to life
And the music of the calliope begins
The pretty painted ponies dance
In a glittering lifeless circle
Whirling to the carousel waltz
The glow on their cherubic faces
Exhibits the joy in their hearts
And exhiliration of their souls
Their animated smiles glow
Like a thousand rays of sunshine
As they race to the gate
Waiting to mount the silent steeds
Noisily biding their time to join
The merriment of the dance
And the wonderful carousel waltz.

About
Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
