Never Close My Eyes

Never Close My Eyes

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard
"

The terror of a child grown to an adult

"

In the dark, where none can see
Soft, deep whispers come to me
How loud the echo of my dreams
No one hears my silent screamsT
ears run down my ghostly face
Lost and alone I seek my place
Terror runs deep
Never, ever sleep
Never close my eyes
Never close my eyes
Terror runs deep
Never, ever sleep
To the star lady now I pray
Let me see the light of day
Sunlight dancing with the moon
Morning come in to my room
If I never, ever close my eyes
Light will come and expose his lies
Terror runs deep
Never, ever sleep
Never close my eyes
Never close my eyes
Terror runs deep
Never, ever sleep
Can the shadows dark and deep
Hide me now so I can sleep
In the closet, 'neath the bed
Darkest visions in my head
In the dark I lie so awake
Pray to the lady my soul take
Terror runs deep
Never, ever sleep
Never close my eyes
Never close my eyes
Terror runs deep
Never, ever sleep.

About
Life has been crazy for a very long time, but for now I have some time and will be trying to add more of my writing. I'll slowly be restoring them from my own back ups, though it may take some time. .. more..
