The BeginningA Chapter by StarrytideOriginsAs defenders of Azeroth, several groups answered the call to arms as soon as the new planet, looming with pure danger, suddenly appeared in the skies above. Nobody quite knew what exactly would become of them, for the unchartered territory was bound to be teeming with death. Even so, the citizens and soldiers of Dalaran had gathered amongst themselves in small warbands, no more than five members each, and escorted themselves to the mysterious world.
The question could be asked: what was so different about the group that now traveled through the gloomy terrain of Argus? After all, the five members seemed to be ordinary friends, bound by the loyalty that ran through their veins to the cause they all shared. Such was not the case, however. Even though the party of five appeared to get along well, they were not ancient comrades as a whole.
Lead by a bulky Demon Hunter, one could not deny that the party itself was rather balanced. There was a Druid, a Priest, a Rogue, and a Hunter. In addition to that, the actual group had only been venturing for approximately one week, but the journey had been easier in some aspects. One of those aspects could easily be referred to as prior connection.
Young Maybellian, a Kaldorei Druid, serves as a ranged Caster, but she also found sanctuary in the protection of her older brother, the essential Demon Hunter Saertharen. Nobody is too terribly sure how Maybellian managed to find her brother following the slaughter of their family, but perhaps that secret was best left to uncover later. Although Saertharen himself appeared quite the recluse, he seemed to get along well with all of the members.
Meanwhile, the Human Priestess Aeilena and Night Elven Rogue Thalthas performed well as lovers, having been a couple not too terribly long before Argus appeared on the surface. The Healer was not typical by any means, for she refused to shy away from danger- or even particularly the antics that her partner brought forth. Bold and brash to a certain degree, Aeilena found her respect in the group by declaring what she believed to be best for the greater good.
Lastly, Doug Forgefist, had tagged along as a rather successful Hunter. Admittedly, there had been a fair amount of debate from the beginning regarding his outdoor nature, Doug had indeed proved himself to be a valuable member for an ally in combat. He was wise, too, and somehow, quite the haggler when it came to Inn visits. The group had a tendency to place their next drink on Doug's bill- which typically remained non-existent.
They all had their own talents. While Maybellian performed well in utilizing the solar energies for damage, Thalthas relied on quick, deadly blows, whereas Doug fought with accuracy and speed over true strength. Aeilena expressed zero issue with summoning her Holy magic to heal the wounds of her comrades.
And that is how it all began. © 2017 Starrytide |
