Chapter 2A Chapter by A Soap Mess StoriesColton showed up in the school cafeteria just as Marissa
wrote in the note, “What’s up with the note?” “Um, I was researching messaging methods in the past and
came up with this folded note system that students used back in the 70/80s.”
Marissa told him. “But why?” “Well, Ms. Henderson got me to thinking about our use of
cell phones in class and thought that maybe we could just use this system
instead?” “It does sound interesting?” Colton mused. “So, we agree to use this system?” Marissa said. “Yes, but only in school.” Colton said, “It would be weird
to use it anywhere else.” “I don’t know, maybe we should use at home and with our
friends.” Back in class, Ms. Henderson noticed Marissa handing Colton
something while they were taking a test, “Miss James, what are you doing?” “Um, just passing Colton a note,” Marissa told her. “Are you two cheating on the test?” “No, Ms. Henderson, I was just sending him a note to wish
him well on the test.” “Well, I don’t do it during a test. Do I make myself clear?” “Yes, Ms. Henderson.” Jane Henderson had to hand it to Marissa. It was ingenious
of her to send Colton the note. She hadn’t seen that happen, well, in a long
time. © 2024 A Soap Mess Stories |
