Chapter 1A Chapter by A Soap Mess Stories“Can everyone please put their cell phones down while in class?” Jane Henderson says, getting irritated their use while in her class. “Jeez, what’s wrong with her?” Marissa whispers to Colton in
the next desk. “I know what you mean?” Colton replies. “Ms. James, Mr. Jenkins,” Ms. Henderson snaps, “Why are you
whispering?” “Um, no reason, Ms. Henderson,” Marissa lies, “I was asking
if I could review his notes.” “Well, I want to talk with you students about your use of
cell phones in my class.” Ms. Henderson says as all eyes are glued to her. “I would like you all to find another way to message your
friends while in school.” Ms. Henderson suggests. “And how do we do that?” a student pipes up. “Cell phones
are all we know?” “Well, I propose you find another method to use?” But while their teacher was advising her students, Marissa
was on her phone searching for past techniques in messaging when she found an
80s method involving folded sheets of paper where, mainly students, to send
messages to their friends. That’s when Marissa took out a piece of notebook paper and
wrote a message to Colton, then she folded it up like she’d seen in her
research and handed the note to Colton. “What’s this?” Colton asked as he took the folded paper. “Just open it up and read it,” Marissa whispered. As Colton unfolded the paper, he read, “Meet me in the
cafeteria for lunch!” as Marissa smiled at him. © 2024 A Soap Mess Stories |
