Chapter 4

By the time Karah was moved to her hospital room, Jared wanted to see her, but her parents went in. It gave Sweeney the time he needed to report to Jared what he overheard.

“Hey, don’t blame yourself,” Sweeney told Jared.

“Oh, Sweeney thanks, but I’m afraid it is.”

“No it isn’t.” Sweeney assured him. “I overheard two talking earlier tonight about Karah’s accident.

“Oh, what about?” Jared asked, his interest piqued.

“It looks like two girls in your contest are to blame.”

“Who are they, Sweeney?”

“All I know is their first names �" Lindsey and Kamlyn.”

“Thank you, Sweeney. You don’t know how much this means to me.”

“You’re welcome?” Sweeney said as he rushed off to find Lindsey and Kamlyn.
