Winners and Losers

Winners and Losers

A Poem by A Soap Mess Stories

I used to think

Being in your arms

Meant we built a family

But I was a fool

Thinking I belonged in your life

Who are the winners

And losers

In this game

We call life?

Now, we move on

In an attempt to forget

The mistakes we made

I guess, in truth,

We are both

Winners,

And losers

In the game of love

And divorce!

All of it, the joy and the sorrow, are only lessons.
