Writing Prompt: Prom Night Revenge

Write a story where your protagonist causes danger.

 

 

Nobody knew what hit them!

The perfect plot to sabotage the high school prom!

He wanted revenge against his ex-girlfriend for breaking up with him for his best friend.  And the best way was to ruin prom night.

Andy knew she, her name was Cara Stevens, would be voted as prom queen and the high school quarterback, Tom Wolfe, would be king.  They were the ideal couple.  No one thought Andy deserved Cara.  He was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks…and Cara was popular and well liked.

When Cara agreed to go on a date with him, Andy was ecstatic.  It meant that his days as the geeky nerd were over.

But they were far from over when Cara was pressured by her parents and her popular friends to break up with Andy.

So, Cara gave Andy the bad news that she was breaking up with him for Tom, the school’s quarterback..

So Andy went in revenge mode to ruin Cara and Tom’s night as prom queen and king.

When the prom was in full swing and Tom and Cara were called on stage to accept the title of prom king and queen, Andy hit the bottom that would cause mass destruction.

As students ran for cover, Cara was caught in the crossfire and was knocked to the ground by a slab of wood that hit her in the head.

Tom didn’t fair so well either.  He was hit by a live spark and died instantly.

When CSI arrived to investigate, nobody suspected Andy.  Maybe that was because Andy had managed to slip off unseen after he pushed the button that caused total destruction of the high school.

But despite the fact that Andy arrived home uncaught, he turned on the television in his room to see if the local news was filming.  That’s when he found out Tom Wolfe died in the catastrophe and Cara was in ICU….

For the rest of the night, Andy lay in bed pondering whether he should turn himself in?
