Writing Prompt: The Shopping Bag

The shopping bag ripped and all its contents tumbled to the ground. For you, this was the last straw.

 

As if my day couldn’t get any worse�"the shopping bag ripped as I was removing it from the checkout�"my items tumbling all over the floor.  It wouldn’t be the worst, except…now everyone has seen it’s contents!   Even the guy I had been crushing on for like, forever!  OMG!  How embarrassing!  I had to get out and fast!

So after I hastily picked up my purchases, I hightailed it out of the store.  I could never show my face again after that fiasco.  And the guy I was hoping would ask me out…well, let’s just say…I don’t think he’ll ever see me that way ever!

I just wanted to die! 

Just then, I received a text from an anonymous caller.  Turns out it was from the guy I had a huge crush on telling me he got my number from my bestie.

And he wanted to ask me out on a date!  A moment of embarrassment turns into a good thing?!

But sadly, still embarrassed by the whole incident, I text back and tell him I’m busy!
