Episode 7

(Tamara shows up at Seth’s office to confront him about Cody’s paternity.)

 

TAMARA

 

I’m here to see Mr. Rainer.

 

RECEPTIONIST

 

I’ll give him a call.

 

(Receptionist dials Seth Rainier’s extension.)

 

Mr. Rainer, a Tamara is here to see you?

 

SETH II

 

Send her in.  I have a few minutes to spare.

 

RECEPTIONIST

 

You may go in.

 

(Tamara heads into Seth’s office.)

 

TAMARA

 

I have the DNA results you wanted.

 

(Tamara hands Seth the paper regarding the DNA of her son, Cody, as Seth looks it over.)

 

SETH II

 

Well, it appears everything is right.  Cody is my son.

 

TAMARA

 

Well, I told you he was.

 

SETH II

 

Well, a man in my position can’t take this too lightly. 

 

TAMARA

 

I can’t believe you think I’d lie about your child?

 

SETH II

 

I didn’t say that! 

 

TAMARA

 

I know.  You have a family.  A wife.  Children.  Or should I say…heirs?

 

SETH II

 

I’ll make the necessary accommodations for Cody.

 

TAMARA

 

Meaning he’ll be put in your will?  Don’t bother.

 

(Tamara storms out Seth’s office in a huff, nearly knocking the receptionist on her butt as she was bringing in Seth’s tea.)

 

(Meanwhile, Cody is working taking photos of Seth’s designs for a printout for Architecture Design Seth will be featured in as architect of the year, when Abby shows up looking for him.)

 

ABBY

 

Cody, I thought we had lunch plans?!

 

CODY

 

Omigosh!  I forgot about the time! 

 

ABBY

 

That’s okay babe.  Can you get away any time soon?

 

(Abby coaxes him with kiss on the lips.)

 

CODY

 

I don’t think Mr. Rainier will mind if I take a small break.

 

ABBY

 

Great!  I’ll wait for you in the lobby.

 

CODY

 

I’ll just put my camera away and meet out there.

 

ABBY

 

I can’t wait!

 

(Abby exits while Cody puts his camera away to join Abby for a lunch date.as the scene exits out.)
