Chapter 3

Another day and Stella was behind in cutting out coupons.  Her rival, Marie, was busy getting ready for the contest.

The contest was only a week away and Stella had mounds of coupons to go through.  And she had to work four of those days.

Then Stella got an idea!  She would hire someone to cut out the coupons so she could be ready for the contest.

Stella got lucky when her nephew, Don, volunteered for the job.  So Don cut the mounds of coupons while Stella went off to work, happy she would make it in time for the contest.

When Marie got wind of what Stella was doing, she immediately reported to the judges.  Thinking it was unfair of Stella to hire someone to do the cutting, they decided to ban Stella from the contest.

Marie was happy!  Now she would win by default! 

But when Stella got the news later on from Don after coming home, she was mad!  It was unfair of Marie to that!  Marie was a stay-at-home mom with time on her hands to do her own cutting.  Stella had to work a full-time job and barely had time to make dinner, let alone cut out coupons.

A debate ensued between Stella, Marie and the judges with Marie claiming that Stella had been doing it for years�"why now did she need help?

Stella reminded Marie that there was no contest she had to get ready for.  She was just cutting out coupons at her leisure.

After a 30-minute debate, Stella won and was back in the contest�"to Marie’s chagrin.

Marie would have to find another way to oust Stella from the contest!!!!
