The Heart Won't Lie

The Heart Won't Lie

A Poem by A Soap Mess Stories

I lie here
Trying to forget you
But no matter what I do
I can't get you out of my heart
No matter what I do
To get you out of my heart
You're always there
You're always on my mind
Why can't I just forget you
Why can't I move on
Why do I long for you so bad
I no longer no what is up
Or down
I'm confused most days
I no longer know what to do
I just want to toss you aside
But my heart won't let me
You're always in my heart
To remind me
What we've gone through
Remind me of the struggle
I don't know how much more I can take
But the heart won't allow me
To let you go
No matter how much I try

The heart is the most reluctant thing...beautifully lamentful...
