Chapter 6

Two hours had gone by and Laurie (Kendra) hadn't come home. Thomas was getting worried. Laurie said she would be back in 15 minutes. He couldn't understand why she was gone for so long? Where had she possible gone? He called all Laurie's friends and they all said they hadn't seen her. He called Laurie's mother to come keep an eye on the children while he went out to see if he could find his wife.

Kendra had been sitting outside Bryan's apartment watching when he pulled up in the drive to let Amanda out. She looked as if she had been crying. As she let herself inside the door, Bryan drove off. So Kendra followed behind to see where Bryan was going.

After what seem like forever, but was really more like 30 minutes, Bryan pulled up in front of a gorgeous mansionand honked his horn. Out walked a beautiful brunette woman who got inside Bryan's car. She witnessed the two of them kissing passionately before Bryan drove off. Was Bryan cheating on Amanda and she found out? Was that why she was crying?

She followed Bryan and the brunette in his car to the lake outside of town. He pulled into the parking lot and grabbed a blanket. The very same blanket she had given him on his 25^th birthday�"just last year. She watched him take hold of the brunette's hand and walk to a sandy area by the water. He spread the blanket on the sand and pulled the brunette down on the blanket.

Bryan and the brunette made out for like seemed like several minutes before both stripped off their clothes and headed for the water for a skinny dip. Holding the brunette's hand, Bryan led her into the water and the two began kissing and making out as soon as they got into the water. After several minutes, the brunette came out of the water with Bryan right behind her, where they proceeded to make love as soon as they hit the blanket that Bryan had spread out for them.

Kendra's heart broke. She couldn't believe that Bryan was cheating on Amanda? It was like Bryan hadn't learned from the tryst he had with her own best friend. And then it her. She would pose as a psychologist and call Bryan to make an appointment to counsel him. But how was she going to pull it off? That was the question she had to come up with.

She looked at her cell and noticed the time. Midnight. Thomas would be worried about her. She told him she would be back in 15 minutes and it had been three hours. She headed back home before Thomas decided to call the calvary out on her. Besides, she had to think of a plan to become Bryan's psychologist in order to “counsel” him.
