Chapter 3

Erika had just finished her shift at the nursing facility and had just gotten home. She was excited to log into her account to write SexyLover back when she got saw the following message from him:

Hey baby,

Wear u being...av missed u...

Erika felt bad for not responding back, so she typed the following message:

SexyLover,

I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you...I had to get to work and couldn't be late...I'm so sorry for keeping you...I just got home from work and logged on to reply back...I missed you too...I enjoy your messages...I am falling in love with you a little bit everyday...

As soon as Erika hit send, she got the following email within minutes:

Baby,

Av missed u...i slept off for few...just woke up...saw u online...come on messenger n chat...love u...

As soon as Erika read the email, she went on messenger and sure enough, SexyLover was there, waiting for her. They chatted for hours until Erika said she was getting tired and had to sleep. They said their good nights and logged off.

Erika slept soundly for two hours, dreaming sweetly of SexyLover. Then she woke up with a strange urge to want him. She just couldn't get him off her mind. Something was drawing him to her. She wasn't sure what, but she was being drawn to him.

Several hours later, Erika was awakened by her doorbell. She put on her robe and answered her door. She was surprised to see Tommy at her door. She thought that Tommy had went into the service when she turned him down. She opened the door and he presented her with flowers.

“Tommy?” Erika exclaimed. “I didn't expect to see you. I must look a fright!”

“Nonsense. You look beautiful, as always.” Tommy assured her.

“So, what brings you here?” Erika asks him, motioning him to the couch to him make himself at home while she brings them some coffee and coffee cake she just made the other day.

“I just got in from being on leave. I wanted to see you.” Tommy exclaimed.

“I'm touched, Tommy. What did you want to see me about?”

“I had something to ask you.”

“Oh, what was that?”

“Erika, I love you. I want you in my life when I get out of basic training.”

“Really?”

“Erika, will you wait for me? And when I get out of basic training, will you marry me?”

Erika choked on her coffee. “Excuse me?”

“Will you marry me when I get out of basic training?”

“Tommy, we hardly know each other. We've barely dated.”

“I know, but I love you. Have always loved you. I want you in my life.”

“I'm sorry, Tommy, but I'm already seeing someone. I can't marry you.”

“Oh, I see. I'm too late.” Tommy responds, sadly.

“I'm so sorry to have to tell you, Tommy. You're a nice guy and I like having you as a friend, but I've been dating someone for a month.” Erika explains to him.

“Well, I'll get going now. I'm sorry to have bothered you.”

Tommy put on his jacket and left Erika's apartment. After he left, she felt so bad for him. Tommy was such a good man. She hated to hurt him like this, but she was just finding out about her relationship with SexyLover. She knew that the right woman would come along for Tommy. It just wasn't going to be her.
