Chapter 5 The Date

Chapter 5 The Date

A Chapter by A Soap Mess Stories

The mysterious stranger was dressed to the nines when he picked Allie up for their “date” as Allie assumed. The stranger handed Allie the most beautiful light blue gown and told her to change quickly.

Without arguing, Allie went to the diner restroom to change, with Wanda right behind her to help her.

“Jade, tell me everything that happens tonight. I want details.” Wanda tells her.

“I will, Wanda. You'll be the first to know.” Allie replies back.

As soon as Allie has the gown on and puts her long blonde hair into a messy bun, she opens the restroom door to see the stranger looking oddly at her. The stranger is taken aback at her beauty. He sees Allie's mother in her"she looks just like her mother on their first date at the opera house, the same place the stranger is taking Allie on their “date.”

The stranger offers his arm to Allie who gladly accepts it and he leads her to the limo that is waiting for them to take them to the opera house. When the limo driver pulls up to the opera house, Allie can't believe her eyes. Just who is this guy? And how did he know she liked the opera? The stranger gets out of the limo and then helps Allie out of the limo. They walk arm-in-arm inside the opera house, all the women looking jealous at the stranger with the gorgeous blonde on his arm.

The stranger leads Allie to his private sitting area and helps her to a seat. This stranger is such a gentleman, much older than her, but she wonders what come of a relationship with him? She dreams of kissing him, then suddenly feels awkward thinking that , but can't figure out why?

The stranger notices Allie enjoying the show, even crying. He is brought back to his date with her mother, remembering that she too cried at the show he took her to. He can't believe how much she looks like her mother right now. Just as beautiful as her mother was back then. He wonders what went wrong. They were such a happy family when Allie was born. He was the happiest man. Then about the time Allie turned a year, things mysteriously changed. Allie's mother suddenly did a 360. She was no longer the loving wife and mother he had married. A month after Allie's first birthday, he came home from a long, hard day at work, to find that Allie's mother had his bags packed and sitting on the front porch...no reason and no explanation. There was a note on the door telling him she was divorcing him and taking Allie far away and he would never see his daughter again. It was then that he spent the next 20 years looking for his ex-wife and daughter.

And now that he found her, no one was coming between him getting to know her, not her mother, and not Devin.
