Is It A Betrayal?

Is it a betrayal
To keep old love letters, cards, notes, etcetera
Of a past love
When entering into a new relationship
Would it hurt your new love
Should you throw out past letters
Or is it right to keep
After all that past love
Was a part of your life before
If a person has moved on
Can it be possible
To keep such remembrances
Without hurting the new love
Would it threaten a new romance
Past loves will always be a part of one's life
For they helped to make the person
Who they are
Even if one has moved on
Past loves will be remembered
So a new romance should not be threatened
By remembrances of a old love

To some people, perhaps...I see nothing wrong in holding memories, personally...they are what has shaped us...still, moving on sometimes lets our souls spring clean and we do get rid of the letters etc...thoughtful poem hon x
