Why Don't We Enjoy Our Families

Why Don't We Enjoy Our Families

A Chapter by A Soap Mess Stories

Families are precious
Families are the only ones
We can turn to
In times of need
Except for maybe friends
So why do we treat them
With such disdain
Why are some families
So dysfunctional
Why are some so controlling
Needing to control the thoughts
And decisions of its members
Some familiies fight and argue
Instead of cherishing each other
Then when one passes on
It's too late to make amends
So the one left behind
Is bitter and angry
Because they didn't take the time
To cherish their loved one
If only we could take the time
To enjoy the company
Of our precious family
Mothers
Fathers
Sons
Daughters
Grandmothers
Grandfathers
Aunts
Uncles
Cousins, etcetera
Maybe we wouldn't be so sad
And lonely when a precious loved one
Leaves this world
For we would have
The precious memories of lost loved ones
To cherish forever
Til it is our turn
To meet Our Maker.
Cherish your family
Keep them close to your heart
Always
So when they are gone
You'll have sweet memories
To hold on to
Instead of bitter fighting and arguing
