Cody just learned that Seth Rainier, II is his father from his mother.)
CODY I want a bouquet sent to the office of Seth Rainier, II with a note on the card to read: "You'll pay for abandoning your child!"...Okay, got that, ma'am?...Just put the amount on my tab, give yourself a $5 tip, and have a great day! (Cody hangs up the phone and thinks about his revenge he is going to get on his new-found father.) (The next day, Cody sees Seth, II from his Trigonometry class speaking with a girl. He walks up to them and introduces himself.) CODY Hey, Seth, who's the good-looking girl? SETH III Oh, hey, Cody! This is Abby Levitt, the girl-next-door, and my neighbor. We've known each other since we were children. ABBY (Smiles at Cody.) Hi! CODY Nice to meet you! ABBY Well, boys, I've got a class to get to. See ya both later. (Runs to her next class.) CODY Nice girl. (Eying Abby as she walks to her next class.) SETH III Yeah, she is. CODY You two dating? SETH III We hang out, if that's what you're asking. CODY Say, I'm having a party at my dorm tonight, if you and Abby want to come by. SETH III Sure, Cody. I'll ask Abby if she would like to come by. CODY Well, gotta run! See ya tonight, maybe! (Waves good-bye and leaves, leaving Seth, III alone.) (Scene fades out.) (The Banks Brothers, Jerry and Jimmy, show up on Jackson's door to ask questions about The Rainier's maid, Coralee's murder.) JIMMY Mr. Levitt, do you mind if we come in and ask a few questions of you? JACKSON Sure, what about? JERRY Well, your neighbors, The Rainiers, just had their maid, Coralee, murdered in their living room, yesterday. JACKSON Oh my, that's terrible. How are they doing? JIMMY They're a bit shaken up, especially Mrs. Rainier. JACKSON I'm sorry to hear that. What did you two need to ask me? JERRY Did you hear anything unusual yesterday? JACKSON No, I didn't. ... I was here in the mansion all day. I didn't even leave the property once. JIMMY Do you have an alibi? JACKSON No, sorry. The two girls were at school and Terry was at work yesterday. I let the maid and butler off for the day. I was all alone yesterday. JERRY Well, then you know that you will be a suspect in this murder until further notice. Don't leave town until this murder is solved. JACKSON Yes sir, I don't intend to. JIMMY We'll be by later, or tomorrow to speak to your children about what they know. Thank you, Mr. Levitt. JACKSON I'm glad to be of help. JERRY Mr. Levitt, if you do remember anything, please call the office and let us know. JACKSON I will do that, boys. (Jerry and Jimmy leave the Levitt mansion and Jackson snickers after they leave.) JACKSON (To himself.) Too bad you boys will never know who really killed that maid. Poor Seth won’t even know what hit him. (Scene fades out.) (Cody spots Abby in her English class at the University and sits down next to her.) CODY Hello Beautiful. ABBY (Looking up from reading her Physics reading.) Hello! CODY Whatcha reading beautiful? ABBY Just my reading assignment in Physics, CODY Sounds interesting. ABBY Kinda confusing. I do not understand it too well. CODY Would you like to go out with me tonight? I could help you with your Physics? ABBY Yeah, sure. I guess. CODY Great! Pick you up at 7:00? ABBY Yeah. (Abby writes down her address so Cody can pick her up at her house.) (Cody says good bye and lets Abby get to her next class.) (Cody is seen at Seth's dorm to let him know that he got a date with Abby, but Seth wasn't there. This was going to be the start of his revenge on Seth II and Seth III; date Abby Levitt; but little does Cody know that he is dating his own sister as Abby is Seth II's daughter by Marissa from their college days; Jackson raised her as his own.) © 2014 A Soap Mess Stories |
