The Call from the BossA Chapter by A Soap Mess Stories
Valene got into work late Monday morning and just knew that her boss was going to say something to her, or worse, fire her. This was the fifth time this month she'd been late and the last time she was late her boss told her he would can her if she was late again.
To her surprise, her boss was not around when Valene arrived at her office. When she sat down to her desk, she noticed the blinking light on her voicemail box indicating a message. "Oh no," Valene said to herself, "he knows!" Knowing what the voicemail was going to say, Valene pushed the button to hear the message and expected to be canned. But she was caught off guard at what she actually heard: "Valene, this is Terry, your supervisor. I need you to come to my home as soon as you get this message. It's urgent!" Valene wasn't so sure she should go to her boss's home. What would the others think? But, she reluctantly went fearing that if she didn't, she might be fired. So Valene quietly left the office without anyone seeing her and drove off in her Jeep Wrangler. Valene pulled into her boss's driveway and knocked on the door. Her boss answered the door immediately, as if waiting for her. Valene couldn't believe her eyes as she scanned his living room and dining room to see that it was set for a romantic candlelight dinner. But then noticed that it was early morning. What was going on? Her boss began to profess his feelings for her and told her that he had been having these feelings for some time...but tried to squash them because of their professional relationship. Then he told her that he just couldn't let the feelings go, because the feelings were too strong. He thought about her constantly and he just couldn't get her out of his mind. Then he pulled her into a steamy kiss. Valene was taken aback, but just went with it and melted in his arms..... © 2014 A Soap Mess Stories |
