Chapter 2: A New Life--three Months Later

A Chapter by A Soap Mess Stories

Allie was settled in a new town with a new name working as a waitress at Ed's Diner.  She was now going by the name, Jade.  Allie needed to know what drove her from her online boyfriend, Devin.  Something wanted them apart; she just couldn't figure out what.  She just knew she had to stop the passion (as hot as he was getting her) before things went on further.  Wanda let Jade (Allie) know she had a guest in one of her booths.  Jade took out her pad and pencil and went to see what her guest wanted.

"Hello, my name is Jade and I'll be your server today." Allie told the guest.

Something was odd about this guy.  He looked familiar.  She couldn't place it, but this guy was familiar.

"Yes, what are your specials?" the guest asked Jade.

"The Chef's Salad with Ranch Dressing, BLT & Avocado with Chicken Noodle Soup, and Pumpkin Custard Pie for dessert." Jade told him.

"I have the BLT & Avocado with French fries and a bottomless cup of coffee." the stranger told her.  "And bring lots of cream and sweetener."

Allie (Jade) took her guests order and took the slip up to Ed to prepare.  Then Allie pulled a already-made-up pot of coffee along with a cup and cream and sugar and brought it over to the stranger.  It was uncanny, but Allie couldn't stop wondering where she had seen this guy.  She knew she saw him before, but where.

The stranger sat in that booth all night.  He was working on somthing on his laptop.  Allie tried to pretend she was sweeping so she could somehow glance at what he was doing, but the guy caught onto what she was doing and closed the laptop before she could sneak a peak.  Allie looked ashame and walked away.
