Questions of the heart

Questions of the heart

A Poem by Brandon

Do you dream of unatainable things,

Do you tear yourself apart at the seams

trying to break all your strings.

Are you held captive, a prisoner of the past.

Do you feel like you have lived life too fast?

Can you hear a voice softly telling you

the possibilities are endless of the things you can do?

Is there a photo of you two closed in a lockett?

Do you believe your hope is found in the bottom of empty pockets?

Is it some kind of sign of maturity, to believe suffering is a part of purity?

Do you believe it is wrong to want the things others do,

Do you believe when you die you take none of it with you?

Do you feel pain in your heart every single day?

Like any moment now God is going to take you away..

Do you long to hear angels singing there sweet songs,

Is it difficult for you to wait to go to heaven so you can sing along?
