Dos Equis Beer will never be the same. Especially after you have seen the commercial of the father giving a toast to the wedding couple. It was a refreshing piece with the dad crying and talking sentimentally and lovingly about how he loves Dos Equis beer. The daughter, played by the extremely talented Dive Assad, cries too as she listens to him go on and on about the most wonderful beer in the world. By the end of the spot every one at the reception is in tears.

 

It was a very clever commercial and all the actors were superb. Dive Assad stood out as she normally does in every project she is a part of. It’s not only her commanding beauty that compels us to watch her but the characters she plays, whether it’s in a commercial, movie or TV show, always have a similar thread running through them. It’s not that the parts are the same, it’s that she never fails to give her all for each and every role she chooses to play. The thread she weaves that connects all of her characters is very simple: the characters are real. She becomes the character and she is believable every time.

 

Besides having acted in short films and feature-length motion pictures, Dive recently shot the above mentioned Dos Equis commercial and another one, both with the award-winning Wayne McClammy at the helm. He is the filmmaker who directed Sarah Silverman in Sarah Silverman is visited by Jesus Christ Comedy Special, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Triple Threat, among many more. He has also directed numerous other celebraties such as Anthony Hopkins, Cardi B. and Kevin Hart to name a few. Wayne McClammy directs projects for Hungry Man Productions, which is considered to be one of the top five commercial production companies in the world. Apparently, Mr. McClammy is not only an exceptional commercial director with a keen eye for composition and a crystal clear way of articulating what he wants in the scene, but he also has a great sense of humor and keeps people on his set very happy and free of tension. Dive felt blessed to be able to work with such a professional two times. Dive has a feature film coming out this year and she is looking forward to shooting a Spanish film in the next few months.
