"

Resumés, when done properly can give you a real feeling for someone’s experience. Michele Abascal, the Mexican actress, has such a full resumé that on the surface it looks like she has been acting for decades instead of just a few short years. Her vast experience in movies and short films and her numerous credits in theater showed us that she has the acting range to play both men and women. At different times Michele was cast in Shakespeare’s Hamlet in which she played Ophelia and then turned around and played Hamlet himself. And she was quite convincing as the two male characters of Silvius and Corin in Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Michele also won the coveted Best Actress Award at the International Festival of University Theatre for her performance as Ilse in Spring Awakening,

Looking over her roles in scores of plays told us that Michele is not only a talented female actress but that she can play roles of either gender and do them both equally well. That’s means that this woman has drive, talent remarkable acting skills and a true love of acting. We’ve never seen a resumé like hers before. She is a powerhouse to be reckoned with and she is raising the bar as far as what can be done by today’s actors.

Some of the short films that she has had leading roles in are: The Great Misfortune, Deep in the Woods, Castle of Purity, The Haunted Bakery, She, Cut, Soft, Eunice, Dawn, Always the Same, Cain and Janus, to name only a few. She has also done plenty of commercials for leading international brands such as: Nextel AT&T, Nestlé S.A., Sprite, Santander, Budweiser, Corona and Unefon. Michele has been featured in several motion pictures including, Gringo, Tell Love and Conversations.

Michele has gone through extensive training that helped her fine tune her acting craft. She earned a Master’s Degree at the National Institute of Fine Arts in the National School of Theater. She also studied stage combat, tap, casting for film and television and body and movement at the Acting in Cinema School in Los Angeles, California. Michele also studied at the Russian Institute of Acting and Film along with Shakespeare Acting at BADA (British American Drama Academy. Although she has an extensive list of projects she has participated in, Michele believes that each project arrives when it must arrive and teaches us what it has to teach us, so each one, at the time, has been her favorite and has taught her something that she needed to learn and has helped her grow as a human being.
